Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Oregon State University in 1992.
Upon graduation he worked at Nike Inc. as a problem solving National Authorization Manager and served on the Chief Financial Officers’ Diversity Internal Advisory Board.
In 1994 he began work at Portland Community College’s Institute for Management & Professional Development in the Office of Business & Government Relations as a Business Development Director in B2B Specialized Management Training.
His branch of learning and teaching deals with the study of psychology, behavioral economics, spirituality, and decision making.
He has written about human behavior for over 20 years and researched through personal experience, self study, observations and interpretation for over 30 years.
Martin has a vast background in the fields of Education, Sales, Leadership Training, and Communications.
He is a teacher, noticing things, trends, and people. He is a member in good standing with many organizations including AA.
His aim is to simplify how human decision works and explain it in a way anyone can understand to better communicate with themselves and others.
“The most important communication you can ever experience is the continuous life long conversation with yourself.”
Going into his seventh decade and only chronologically being fifty-one years old, he can evidently prove that time is fluid. In fact, time is illusionary.
His experience in dispute resolution, superior communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills makes him a genuine mediator.
Experience is the best teacher and having humility to know that he is still a work in progress, increases his ability to overcome or meet any challenge.
It is impossible to be spiritually mature while being emotionally immature.
Character is the by product of personal responsibility and integrity.
This life long endeavor leads him to make daily progress in his character towards excellence not perfection.
Do not misunderstand, he likes to have fun and enjoy family. His love of all animals is natural, especially his cat Beatrice.
He loves to laugh with life and himself. Cast Iron cooking, learning, writing, driving, and music are some of his delights.
“Life is serious but not that serious.”
“Let’s begin this magnificent adventure together!”
